1.Position   : Information and Systems Officer
Location  : New Delhi

Toxics Link is an environmental NGO, dedicated to bringing toxics related information into the public domain, both relating to struggles and problems at the grassroots as well as global information to the local levels. We work with other groups around the country as well as internationally in an understanding that this will help bring the experience of the ground to the fore, and lead to a more meaningful articulation of issues. Toxics Link also engages in on-the ground work especially in areas of municipal, hazardous, medical, e-waste, plastic waste and management and food safety among others. Working in networks, utilizing community outreach and education, policy analysis, research, training and program development, we work at the state and central levels to help create solutions, which are driven by the needs of people. We are also involved in a wider range of environmental issues in Delhi and outside as part of a coalition of non-governmental organizations.
Responsibilities
1. Managing the Local Office Network. Server management, installation and troubleshooting. Backup process
2. Organizational website maintenance and tracking.
3. Updating the websites content.
4. Programming on the websites. Must possess a strong skill on PHP/MySQL . programming with a good analytical skill. Must be capable of sorting out the security issues independently. Knowledge of HTML5,Php ,Drupal
5. Maintenance of mailing lists / Active Directory Management
6. Basic hardware and software support to the organization. Desktop, laptop support
7. Incorporating new technologies those help the organisation to communicate and/or work seamlessly.
8. Should be keen to work and implement Open Source software technologies those suites the organisation from time-to-time.
9. Vendor management
Qualification and Experience
The incumbent should be either BCA / MCA / Graduate in any stream with a post-graduation diploma in computers. The candidate should have minimum two years of experience in the field of Information and Technology, especially in the Web. The candidate should be capable of work independently.
Compensation will be commensurate with experience.

2 .Position:   Sr. Programme  officer   
Location:New Delhi

JOB PROFILE
The candidate will be expected to contribute to the team’s overall work, especially on research and implementation.
Specific tasks will involve -
Research on policy and related issues;
Data Analysis and Information synthesis required for specific research;
Preparation of reports and communication materials;
Assist in designing and executing campaigns on environmental issues
Enhancing network of identified stakeholders;
Assist in planning and organizing training and capacity building workshops
Field work and travel as required.

Excellent writing skills, should be able to present information in both research as well as outreach form
Ability to comprehend and synthesize diverse information;
Good communication and networking ability;
Ability to work under deadlines;
Ability to think creatively;
Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
Should be disciplined and committed to work as per requirements of the team;
Needs to be self motivated.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Should be post-graduate in environmental sciences/ science/ social science stream from a recognized university.
Should have minimum 3 years of working experience in the development sector; previous experience in environmental sector (especially waste management) will be an advantage.
